INSTALL stands for the instructors and students and upgrading floorcovering mechanics of the Twin Cities INSTALL training program and the Twin City Floorcoverer JATC.
It is the "distribution arm" of the efforts of the finest commercial and residential floorcovering training curriculum available today, throughout North America.
Regularly reviewed and certified by the Labor Departments of both the United States and Canada, INSTALL standards are applied internationally.

- The ability to demonstrate competence, skill and experience expected of journeyman floorcovering mechanics.
- Written proof of a complete theoretical knowledge of floorcoverings and floorcovering installation.
- The ability to successfully complete hands-on skill testing, demonstrating a level of professional skill expected of all INSTALL floorcovering mechanics.
- Plus, external educational accreditation for all INSTALL trainers and all INSTALL trainees
The INSTALL Training Curriculum
The INSTALL training curriculum combines classroom study and theory with practical application and with instruction in proper technical procedures.
Students learn the proper floor preparation, installation and the proper finishing procedures for:
- Linoleum and sheet vinyl floors
- Vinyl composition tile
- Laminate
- Cove base and other accessories
- Wood floors
- Rubber floors
- Countertop installation
On average our Apprentices who are new to the trade successfully complete the required curriculum in 4 four years. Plus, the INSTALL course work that students complete counts as credits towards various additional degree programs offered through the St. Paul College in St. Paul, MN.

All INSTALL program instructors continuously train in the latest floorcovering techniques and technology at the UBC International Training center in Las Vegas, Nevada. It is also here that the INSTALL program curriculum is continually developed, reviewed and evaluated by top names in floorcovering material manufacturing lending their recognition to the effectiveness of the INSTALL training. This insures that our training program meets only the highest floorcovering industry standards.

Our New INSTALL Training Facilities
The new 17,000 square feet INSTALL training facility is located in St. Paul, Minnesota. This insures that over time as the program continues to expand, INSTALL will have the space necessary to expand with it.
